As the rapid development of telecommunication, the complexity and functions of the telecommunication equipments are increasing and updating. So it is important to manage and control the device to make them work steady and efficient. The Operation and Maintenance Center(OMC), which was designed by ZTE, according to the TMN standard, enhanced the ability to manage the device in certain degree. But as the service domain becomes larger, the system of carriers maintaining becomes larger and more complicated. There are a few shortcomings in the construction system and the implementation methods in use and application of OMC, especially, network performance test-the subsystem of OMC which becomes more and more difficult to meet the growing needs of users. To optimize NPT system and improve its whole performance is around the corner.With the combination of the 3rd Generation (3G) OMC, firstly this thesis introduces TMN and OMC, and then it aims at the shortcomings of NPT, thirdly it moves an optimization blue print of current system.Aim at the foundation and alternation problems of collection task, we proposed unattended mechanism and inquiry mechanism from the perspective of how to automate starting collection task;
